What Is The Difference Between A Diving Suit And A Swimsuit

The function of the swimsuit is beautiful and drag reduction; the wetsuit has more functions, heat preservation, protection, and thicker fabric. When choosing a diving suit, the most important point is the fit. An ill-fitting diving suit not only cannot achieve the effect of preventing cold, but also swims in the water during diving, which affects the movement. Swimsuits are special clothes for swimming. Generally, swimming wetsuit will not sink when immersed in water.

The main function of the wetsuit is to prevent the body temperature from dissipating too quickly during diving, resulting in hypothermia. Secondly, the wetsuit can also protect the body from being cut by the reef and biological damage such as jellyfish and anemones. Under normal circumstances, when the water temperature is above 27 degrees, you do not need to wear a diving suit; when the water temperature is below 20 degrees, you need to wear a wet diving suit; when the water temperature is below 10 degrees, you need to wear a dry diving suit.

The diving suit is composed of closed microporous rubber and two layers of synthetic fibers. The thickness varies from 1MM to 6MM. There are various colors to choose from, which are suitable for different regions, latitudes, and seasons of water temperature.
